3D Scanning at the Innovation Space: 1. Create working directory

How-To Guide for 3D Scanning

1. Create working directory

Scanning with NextEngine produces many files so it's important to think about file management.

There is a designated folder for temporarily saving your current session's work with NextEngine - the "NextEngine scans" folder on the E: drive (E:NextEngine scans).

We recommend you 1) create a new folder with your user name, then 2) create a folder inside your user folder for the new project.

To set up your workspace:

1.1. Open a folder window and select the "E:" drive.

Select the E drive

1.2. Then click in to the "NextEngine scans" folder.

1.3. Create the folder with your name.

1.4. Create your project folder in your named folder.
