The All of Us Research Program, part of the National Institutes of Health, is a historic effort to collect and study data from a diverse cohort of one million or more particpants living in the United States.
Researchers can interact with All of Us data through the Research Hub. There are currently two levels of access to the data: public and restricted use.
Public data is available through the Data Browser. The Data Browser contains summary and aggregate data.
Restricted data contains de-identified participant-level data. This data is available through the Researcher Workbench. In this guide, we will review how to sign up for an account and get started with the Workbench.
When you visit the All of Us Research Hub, select the button that says Apply, circled in the screenshot below. The University of Maryland, Baltimore has an institutional agreement with All of Us, which makes it possible for our researchers to apply for access. The second requirement for gaining access is to have an eRA Commons account. If you need to obtain an eRA Commons account, please contact CITS
