Who can use Covidence?

Anyone with a umaryland.edu or umm.edu email address may create a Covidence account through UMB's institutional subscription.

How do I set up an account?

UMB affiliated users should request an invitation to join Covidence here. Use your University (or umm) email address when signing up (e.g. jsmythe@som.umaryland.edu). Covidence will send an email to your address. Accept the invitation and sign up for your account.

What if I already have a Covidence account?

Request an invitation to link your personal account with UMB's institutional account. Once you accept the invitation, you can create a new review using the institutional license. When asked "Which account do you want to use?" select the University of Maryland, Baltimore option.

What if I used a different email (non-UMB address) to setup my Covidence account?

If you did not use your university or umm email address to create your original account, you will not be able to link it to the UMB institutional account. Please email systematicreviews@hshsl.umaryland.edu to request an invitation to link this account to the institutional subscription. All new Covidence accounts should be set up using your umaryland.edu or umm.edu email address.

I am collaborating on a review with colleagues from other institutions. Can I invite them to use Covidence for this review?

Yes! You can invite anyone to join your review in Covidence, regardless of location or affiliation.

Where can I find assistance in using Covidence?

Covidence maintains a large support database, including helpful videos on their website. You can also email systematicreviews@hshsl.umaryland.edu with questions.
